IB Polo Campaign

Mar Vista Water Polo is fundraising in 2015-2016 as a result of a loss of funding and worn out, broken equipment. The shots clocks will not last another season and games cannot be played without them. They cost $3,000 to replace. Additionally, the team must raise funds for tournaments, banquets, awards, and other items such as swim parkas and an updated first aid kit. The Inspire IB video is a collaboration of local photographers, coaches, players, and parent volunteers to showcase what the Imperial Beach, Mar Vista Water Polo Teams accomplished during the past 2014-15 season. This video also shows how the community can get involved to support these kids and their collegiate aspirations.

Why is it important to support this team? Some of our players will only have an opportunity to attend a university if they are recognized by colleges.  The team has to do well, earn a respected name in a very crowded and competitive field and have scouts see and talk to our kids. Having the most basic equipment means they can play in our own pool as scheduled. Playing tournaments give the kids valuable experience and they are visible to a much wider audience. Water polo kids are some of the fittest kids around, dedicating hours everyday to fitness and practice with many weekends dedicated to tournaments.
