World Championships or Bust!

Hey, Jason McIntyre here!  Thank you for taking a minute to stop by and give a listen.   So, I’m an Off-Road Triathlete and some of you might be wondering what that is?!  Off-road triathlon, or Cross Triathlon is a form of triathlon, consisting of an open water swimming, mountain biking, and a trail running. It’s an exhilarating triathlon format that gets you out in nature, pushes your body to the extremes, and varies your training from traditional road race formats. 

Specifically, I race competitively in the XTERRA race series.  I’ve had a great season this year, placing anywhere from 2nd in my age group at races, to 4th at the USA Triathlon Off-Road National Championships.   At the close of this season, I’m ranked 6th in the America Tour, and 3rd in the South Central Region of the USA.

I qualified to race in two unique world championships and I’m needing some help to make this achievement possible!  First, I will be racing in the Xterra World Championships in Maui this October.  Xterra World Champs is a dream come true and truly an honor to have qualified.   Secondly, I have qualified for the 2018 ITU Cross Triathlon World Championships to be held in Denmark next July.  This world stage is going to be amazing and the best part is I get to represent Team USA.  That’s right, stars and stripes race wear and compete to bring a medal home for the USA.

To be able to compete at the international level, I need some support from you!  First and foremost, donations will assist to cover the logistic costs of travel, lodging, bike transport, and race registration.  Once those hard costs are covered, I’ll use the remainder of the money raised to go towards coaching, a mountain bike training camp, and race gear.

You support and donations will not only make it possible to register for the events, but really allow me to reach the potential I have by reducing the barriers to progress and improvement. 

This campaign will run for 30 days to raise the $8000 needed to race in these event and get the coaching and training that I need.
