Women's Air Race Classic 2024 - Rainer and Heidi

Hello! We are raising money for this years Air Race Classic and need your help!

Rainer FullerMoore and Heidi Hightower are both flight instructors for Southern Illinois University. Rainer graduated in August of 2023 and Heidi plans to graduate in May of 2024. SIU is graciously sponsoring aircraft and fuel expenses to compete in the race. This go fund me will help with registration, hotels, transportation, and food throughout the 2,269 mile journey across the country!

The Air Race Classic is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing awareness and opportunities for women in aviation. Lots of preparation goes into planning the four day race starting in Carbondale, Illinois and ending in Loveland, Colorado. Throughout the race they have to strategize on how many legs to fly each day and where to spend the night along the route. Weather, wind, terrain and airplane performance all play a significant role. Upon completion of the race in Loveland, there is a banquet to celebrate the winners and participants.

We are thrilled to go on this adventure on behalf of SIU and appreciate any and all support!
