Winnequah Destination Imagination

Six 4th grade students from Winnequah School had a dream and executed it! They got together and decided to challenge themselves. They formed a Destination Imagination team and so the journey began!
Destination Imagination's purpose is to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. Annually, we offer seven new standards-based Challenges in STEM, Improv, Visual Arts, Service Learning, and Early Learning. Each Challenge is open-ended and enables student teams to learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation. Academic tournaments take place around the world where teams have the opportunity to present their solutions to trained appraisers. Students have fun and gain confidence in their ability to solve any challenge. In working to solve our Challenges, teams learn 21st century skills (creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, citizenship and courage) to build on their unique strength
For months they worked diligently toward their goal; GLOBALS. First they went to regionals in Waunakee and succeeded, then they went to state in Steven's Point and made it...AND NOW they're headed to
GLOBALS in Tennessee representing the State of
Wisconsin, more info at http://www.globalfinals.org
The cost of shipping their props, travel and lodging is pricey and not to mention the entrance fee for the teams. Please consider sending these 6 kiddos to Tennessee to reach their dream destination of representing their school and state at this next step of the competition.
