Metastatic Melanoma Treatment
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Jim Wilkinson. In May of 2015, I was diagnosed with a melanona lesion on my right side. I underwent surgery to have it removed and I thought all was well. Unfortunately, I recently found a mass under my right arm and it was biopsied and the melanoma had returned. After further testing, it was discovered that it had metastisized to my left scapula and upper lumbar spine. Now classified as a class 4 metastatic melanoma, the odds of survival are not with me. I have started chemotherapy and the drug that they are using is $12,500 per month. That works out to $150,000 per year. Luckily, my insurance will help a little, but I am asking for any help as this will place a huge financial burden on my family. I appreciate all of the support and love that I have received through this scary ordeal.
Thank you very much,
Jim Wilkinson
