Widowed sisters both dying of cancer.
Donation protected
Both my daughters are in their 50's. One has been fighting breast cancer for over 30 years, has had several surgeries and four rounds of chemo and radiation. She has no immune system left, is heavily medicated, and has at most a few years to live, yet is running her household. The other is recently diagnosed with glioblastoma (aggressive cancer in her brain), can't think normally, and has only a short time to live. Neither of them can work.
They share a small house in Florida with my two grandsons, the older of whom has PTSD ( with traumatic brain injury) from his second Iraq tour so bad he can barely work part-time. His is the only income except for government assistance. Both have worked hard all their lives, and both are widows, having lost their husbands to cancer.
Our extended family has been helping with their medical expenses and household upkeep, including recent new medical equipment, but none of us has above average income, and can spare only so much.
Can you please give them a hand to help them through their final days?
