Wendy Yvonne Lavender Family Fund

On Sunday, October 11th, 2015, our dear friend Wendy Yvonne had a terrible fall in Southern Italy and suffered grave head and spine injuries. Her sister, Jennifer, did an admirable job of carrying us along her path on the Facebook Group page . Yvonne is in hospice at Jennifer's home in Dallas now. We are all devastated that we have reached the end of her journey, and can only now celebrate her life and her immeasurable contributions to ours.

This fund is intended to support the Lavender family and offset the financial strains of supporting Yvonne's recovery so far from home for the past six weeks in Italy. Yvonne was in a private hospital in Rome and her mother, Mary, has been by her side since she got the call. Her sisters Jennifer, Margie, and brother-in-law Morgen also traveled to Rome to take care of her. We would like to help offset the family's expense for these extended stays; including hotels, missed work, flights, meals, and car rentals. Any funds not needed to cover insurance deductibles or the family's expenses in Italy will go to Yvonne’s memorial service or charities she believed in.

If you know Yvonne, you know her big heart and exuberant spirit. She gives herself wholly to everything she loves - be it work, travel, family, or those of us who have been lucky enough to be included in her group of friends. She is the core of her family and I am asking that we help them now in honor of her.
