Wendy & Family Support
Don protégé
Wendy is battling cancer for the third time. At the beginning of November, Wendy's doctors found 19 tumors in her brain, so she is now undergoing radiation on the brain daily and had to stop her chemo for the lung tumor which was found earlier this year. Her doctor has given her a prognosis of one year to live. There is no known cure for what she has. Her health has taken a turn for the worse over the last week and she is trying to prepare for the worst and make sure her family will be taken care of.
Her and her family's insurance is completely through her job as an Instructional Aide at a LWSD elementary school in Redmond. Her co-workers have been donating their sick time hours to Wendy so she can continue her treatment without having to work at the same time (which would be almost impossible for her). It is not known how much longer this will last.
Andy (her husband) has recently started a contract but prior to this was between contracts and not being paid for the last 6 weeks.
Our first goal is to help her get her mortgage covered for 6 months to give them all a sense of stability and security.
