In Ground Goal for Gary's Kids

Donation protected

Sitting here Heavy Hearted as I am losing one of the Greatest Men who have influenced me in my Lifetime. Gary Vadnais is my cousin, but he is more like a brother to me. Gary was first diagnosed with multiple myeloma nearly 8 years ago in 2008. It has gone into remission 3 times and resurfaced its Ugly Head again in August of this year. This Battle has been especially difficult as you can imagine on Tiffany, Gary's Wife and their 3 teenage boys; Lance, Colten and Cameron. For those of you who do not know Gary, he is the one in the room who always makes you Laugh. He is Tough, but more than that he is Strong. He has Battled this Like the Warrior he is, and the Dr.'s say he is in his last days at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio. In the last 5 days since he has been in Hospice Care, he has had over a hundred people visit him. Everyone who visits is in their own struggle on how to deal with this devastating news. I have been Blessed to be by his bedside for the last week as I comfort and serve this Great man in the dark of the night. Yesterday morning, in a raspy almost incomprehensible voice, he asked me to take care of something before he could go. The request was minor in detail but was very much characteristic of this man I care so much about. He wanted me to make sure his boys got a new basketball goal. The last one had blown over in a storm and shattered the backboard. For those of you who know Gary, this is clearly where his heart is, with his family and his Great Love of Basketball. Whether he was telling you how good the Louisville Cardinals were going to be this year or telling you how Proud of his boys he was, he always did it convincingly and with a smile on his face. I am asking for you to make a donation to help us put in an in ground basketball goal for the boys. We are going to paint the pole red and have family members and friends sign the pole as a Memorial to the amazing man who touched so many lives. We will then spray it with a clear polyurethane spray so the boys will see this everyday when they play basketball. If you feel in your heart to donate some more for medical bills and final expenses that would assuredly be appreciated. I know Gary and Tiffany would never ask for anything......that's one of the things that makes them so Special to me. I would truly appreciate any donation that your heart feels is appropriate no matter the amount. I ask for your Prayers for so many affected as we Honor a Man who Truly made a difference in so many of our lives. Godspeed my Brother, you will never be forgotten. Thank You for donating!
