In 2016 my wife was in Arusha/Tanzania for the first time for a volunteer work and fell in love with the preschool; Flowers Children's Center (https://www.flowers-children.org) to which she puts all her heart and soul and coordinates volunteers, social media and children's affairs.

The school looks after disadvantaged pre-school children and the aim is to give these children a good start in their future life. They get two important meals at school and learn the school material they need to attend regular school later.

The school was founded in 2016 by Dennis Palla, a local teacher who puts his heart into the children and wants to give them a good start in life.

Since Corona, prices have also exploded in Tanzania, which has an impact on the elementary fixed costs of the Flowers Children's Centre. That is why we urgently need funds.

The school is financed solely by donations, volunteers and sponsorships.

What are the donations used for:

• Rent school property

• School supplies for the children

• Doctor/dentist visits for the children

• Water and food

• Teachers' wages

• compulsory insurance for teachers

In order to control the flow of money and also to use it correctly, we founded the association ''Friends of Flowers'' in Switzerland, because we see that a lot can be achieved with small and large donations.

The association aims to support the Flowers Children's Centre, a preschool/kindergarten in Arusha, Tanzania. Friends of Flowers collects donations from Switzerland and, if necessary, from other European countries and transfers them regularly, at least twice a year, to the Flowers Children's Center in Tanzania. The association does not pursue any commercial purposes and does not strive for profit. The bodies work on a voluntary basis.
