We Lost Our Car To Unprecedented Flooding (Ida)

I am Sydney Hudson from Somerville, New Jersey.

On 9/1, flooding from Tropical Storm Ida carried away our car of many years (lovingly named Lilith) and submerged her under water. She is our only reliable mode of transportation, and as of writing this we still have not been able to locate her. She was last seen completely submerged in the area of the first photo below.

Lilith was a very dependable car who carried us through many a road trip and natural disaster, her loss is felt greatly by us. We have low funds due to a move that is in process this month, and our insurance was unable to cover the flooding.

Please donate if you are comfortably able. Donations will be solely used for purchase of a new vehicle as soon as possible. This will not be used as a down payment for a fancy new vehicle; we are only looking for enough to outright buy a used car.

We will deeply appreciate anything we receive. If we have extra funds, they will go directly to others affected by the storm. We will remain transparent about use of funds with updates and receipts.
