Wayne Reed's Coral Reef Fund through MBARA

Wayne Reed left quite a legacy. He went home to be with the Lord Jesus on 9/23/21. He leaves behind his wife Susan (married 42 years) as well as his 3 sons: Jarrod, Tyler, and Caleb. Wayne loved the ocean: fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and enjoying the beach. He received his undergraduate degree in Oceanography from FIT in 1979.

As a memorial to our husband, father, and brother in Christ, we are raising funds to construct a coral reef near Mexico Beach, FL. The natural reef was severely damaged by Hurricane Michael in 2019. Now the Mexico Beach Artificial Reef Association (MBARA) is working to repair the damaged reefs. We would like to donate a Memorial Reef in Wayne's honor. The concrete will include some of Wayne's ashes, an embedded plaque, and a GPS location so we can visit his reef. For more info go to: MBARA.org/memorial-reef-program.cfm.
