Walter's Urgent Surgery: A Family's Plea

Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers!

I’m reaching out with a hopeful heart for help for our beloved dog, Walter. Walter is a 7-year-old ginger mix who is not just our family pet, but a deeply important therapy dog for my husband, who lives with complex PTSD (CPTSD). Walter’s constant companionship and unconditional love keep him grounded, calm, and connected, something no medicine ever could.

Sadly, Walter is now suffering from severe knee problems in both knees, which make it painful to walk, run, or even stand up. Our veterinarian says he needs urgent TPLO surgery on both legs, quoted at nearly $10,000 total. Without this, Walter will live the rest of his life in pain or worse.

This has come at a time when our family is already financially stretched. Losing Walter’s ability to move freely and enjoy life would be heartbreaking for all of us but especially devastating for my husband’s mental health and our whole family! Our children would be devastated. Walter is truly our lifeline, our daily therapy, and our emotional anchor.

We’re asking for help to give Walter the pain free, joyful life he deserves. Every donation, no matter how small brings us closer to getting Walter back to happy walks, snuggles, and comfort. Even just sharing this fundraiser means the world to us.
