Walter Tavares Scholarship Fund

Hi there! 

This campaign has been started by Stefan Tavares (son of Walter Tavares) and the Tavares family in Langley BC, in honor of Walter Tavares who has tragically passed after a battle with cancer.

Walt LOVED music. For many years prior to his death, he was involved in coordinating a program called Guitar Workshop Plus. Working alongside Guitar Workshop Plus grew his love for music, and his passion to share it with others year after year. He believed wholeheartedly in what this program offers, and the life-changing experiences and opportunities he saw the students have there. 


I (Stefan Tavares) will be responsible for receiving the funds and writing a cheque to Brian Murray, the owner, and director of Guitar Workshop Plus. Brian is also a great friend of the family.  

Because of your generosity, the donations will go towards providing an annual scholarship to Guitar Workshop Plus for students who otherwise couldn't afford it.
