Help me attend SRIMF this summer!

My name is Alejandro Galdo and I am currently a first-year student at the Ithaca College School of Music pursuing a Bachelor of Music Degree in piano performance. I'm extremely excited to say that I've recently been accepted into the Sulzbach-Rosenberg International Music Festival in Bavaria, Germany! This two-week program would provide me with the opportunity to play in chamber groups, have two private coaching sessions per week, attend subject and performance masterclasses, and receive two private lessons per week – all alongside world-renowned guest artists and faculty. In addition to being an incredible educational experience, it would also fulfill my dream of going to Europe – and what better way to visit Europe for the first time  than to experience life in a town that's rich in art, history, and culture.

As a first-generation student to a single-mom, I've gotten to experience the generosity of so many people helping me pursue my passion for music whether it be through receiving free piano-lessons for most of my life or through scholarships to music programs around the country. My three siblings and I have been through the free-lunch program through our entire education but despite this financial situation, I've been blessed to have a mom who has worked non-stop to have me and my siblings never have to worry about money being an obstacle in pursuing our dreams. In addition to taking a job as a Resident Assistant this semester and applying for jobs this summer, this GoFundMe is the least I can do to help my mom pay for this program. My family and I would greatly appreciate any assistance you could provide me in paying for this tuition and travel expense whether it be through a donation of any amount or by simply sharing this page.
