Help Fubbs Beat Cancer

It deeply saddens my heart that my best friend and lifelong compadre has fallen gravely ill.

"Oppress not the cubs of the stranger, hail them as Sister and Brother. For though they are little and fubsy, it may be, the Bear is their mother"

That word "fubsy" is where his mother and father found the etymological inspiration for his nickname that which we have all come to know and love him by.... Fubbs.

Fubbs has quitely and bravely battled this cancer for some time, he has endured all the poking and prodding and misery you would assume goes along with this kind of illness. He has fought well thus far. Surgery is scheduled for next week and I am afraid the remainder of this battle  is a battle he may be under equipped to face alone. The good thing is that he is a member of an exceptional community that doesn’t let it’s people deal with disaster alone.  Time and circumstance may spread us apart and leave us little time to be involved in each other’s lives but when the clarion call goes out we fill the need. So, I am issuing that call. Please please give what you can to help support Fubbs recovery. He has been reluctant to allow me to put this page up and ask for help. He is proud and has taken care of himself always. However, reality is reality, Fubbs can’t work and get better at the same time. He must recover to be there for his family and most importantly his Momoka. I have tried to help as best I can, but I can’t do it alone. I look to the people I believe to be the most loving and caring community I have known in my life to lend support. I have always taken pride in being raised around people that actually cared about their neighbors and the greater good. People who would take action to help those in need. I hope that we can come together to help my dearest friend and brother from another mother. Thank you all for even kind thoughts and prayers.
