Danish designer Mona Elqut has created ResQkid, an amazing solution for children in northern Lebanon refugee camps to keep warm during the freezing winter.
Sleeping bags are transformed into a suit that is a combination of a jacket, pants, overalls and, last but not least, that it can still be used as a sleeping bag during the cold nights in tents and simple shelters. The outfit withstands wind, water, cold (down to -10ºC) and fire.
In December, Nordic Aid will help implement Mona Elqut’s project, we will produce and distribute ResQkid suits to children between the ages of 7 and 12 in various refugee camps in northern Lebanon.
Together we will keep the children warm! With your support we will be able to make and give away many more outfits to freezing children!
Each outfit costs 500 SEK (52 USD) to produce, but every small contribution given is so very warmly welcomed!
