Vinnie Turnburke

Vinnie’s cancer journey has been a long road full of many obstacles. It has been a little over a year ago since he received his first diagnosis of throat cancer. Vinnie fought very hard and successfully completed treatments. A few weeks ago he woke up not feeling quite right, so Barbara insisted he be seen in the Emergency Room. After a few scans, we learned that Vinnie had a brain tumor that was inoperable due to location. Doctors still wanted to take a biopsy to found out if the tumor was cancerous or noncancerous and to come up with a treatment plan. Yesterday, May 29, 2019, the biopsy results came back with heartbreaking news. Vinnie was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of brain cancer and only given six weeks to live. Cancer is such an ugly disease and does not discriminate. If you are able to donate, I know the Turnburke’s would be so appreciative as the past year has been a struggle due to the accumulation of medical bills.
