Vincent's Colon and Kidney Cancer Treatments

My dear friend Vincent is one of the most generous of heart beautiful humans I know and could really use some fellow generous of heart beautiful humans in his world right now. Here is more of who he and why, written by my dear friend, another beautiful spirit, his wife Kate:

Friends, we need your help. After Vince began to experience some concerning symptoms recently, we jumped into action getting all sorts of testing done. With the help of Kate’s Mom and brother along with our meager savings of $1,000 we immediately began a battery of tests, lab work, a simple CT scan, and finally a colonoscopy last week which has confirmed he has colon cancer. Now that we know what is going on we need to move forward and quickly. And we can’t do it alone.

On Tuesday, September 14th, we begin phase one of this journey with more testing to make sure the cancer hasn’t metastasized, and if we are in luck, he will be a candidate for surgery. This is going to get tough, but Vince is strong mentally and physically! We need help with day-to-day expenses, gas money for going to appointments, food, and the potential for co-pays as we begin to navigate the Medi-Cal system. Vince will not be able to work and will need to concentrate on battling this cancer like the warrior he is. We just do not know what to expect as we get started.

You all know Vince. He helps everyone and every living thing. He rescues dogs, fishes moths out of the dog water bowls to release them safely outside. He volunteers for animal rescue organizations helping them with design work and marketing. If someone is hungry, he will feed them even if it’s the last of his money. If someone needs a hand, help with a car repair, a ride, a free logo design, he never says no. He just helps. He embodies community and love. And he needs our community of friends and family to wrap him in love and support now.

This is just the beginning of the journey. We will keep everyone posted as we get more information, and his surgery and treatment are scheduled.

Thank you to those who have supported us when we first started to investigate his symptoms and were in that uncomfortable stage of knowing it was something serious and waiting for a diagnosis. We all know Vince has so much more art left to create – let’s do this!
