As most of you know I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro at the start of the year to raise money for helping towards building a strong, stable and comfortable life for the homeless dogs on the streets in Moshi and surrounding areas inhabited by Masai tribes.
As a result more kennels have been built and the remains of the previous funds have gone a huge distance with food and healthcare!
Since being back we have found a new litter of puppies whom are now vaccinated, in full health and two re-honed which is the main goal!! Currently I’m trying to raise money to contribute towards helping the team continue with the fantastic work they have been doing and provide the dogs with the happy life they deserve ❤️
***This is a Non-profit ongoing volunteer project which I will continue to do as much as possible for the foreseeable ***
Every small contribution would be deeply appreciated on the next journey whilst working with the Masai dog sanctuary, and I’m grateful for all support I have had so far!!! Here is a general idea of where the money will be contributed to:
USD general cost:
1kg rice: $1 - we use 6kg per day
50g maze flour: $2 - we use 1kg per week
Small bucket of sprats: $5 - we use one every 3 days
Soap to clean dogs and kennels: 50cent per day
Vaccinations per dog: $14
Female neutering: $102
Male neutering: €61
On some occasions we will buy meat and milk to mix with the ingredients but this isn’t often
Currently the dogs are being fed only maize flour and water in the morning and in the evening as it is the cheapest.
We are only neutering the male dogs because it is the cheapest too. When the females are in their heat cycle we now have a new kennel which they can go into to be separate from the rest of the other dogs.
Thank you for reading and following g this journey with me!!
