Funeral expenses for my brother

On Friday, November 27th, the day after Thanksgiving, we lost my brother Michael Authier. He was 53 years old.

He joined my sister Monica. who died 9 years ago as well as My brother from another mother Ed who passed away last year. 

He left behind three children and two grandchildren.

His loss was a devasting shock to us despite his being in the hosital for double pneumonia, irregular heartbeat and needing to be on oxygen. It was a shock because my brother was always a strong man and let nothing bring him down.

Sadly, he had no life insurance and was on social security disability. His children are now burdened with over $3000 in funeral costs. My sister and brother want to do what we can but sadly, in this economy, most of us are living pay check to paycheck as well.

I want to do right for my brother as he was always there taking care of his family. When my mom had an accident last year around this very time, he took the reigns to make sure all her medical needs were met and seldom left her side.

I want to help take the burden off his children who are already trying to cope with the loss of their father. I don't want to see them worry about how it will be covered.

If you can find it in your heart to give just a little, it would mean the world to my family. I hope to god you, the one reading this, never has to go through what my family is going through now.
