“Velvet-Jesus” is about a young man who’s life is changed by what his stepdad did to him as a child, so he tracks him down to confront him 20 years later.

We are African American LGBT content creators trying to increase our visibility which will allow us the opportunity to continue to create quality art.

For years we have independently funded our projects with many sacrifices, high costs to our finances, mental health, and at times even putting a strain on our intimate relationships.

While most won’t identify with this, independent artists without enormous budgets, financial resources, or sponsorship will. As we move forward in our careers, still recognizing the need for our stories to be told, we also acknowledge that we can’t continue to sacrifice ourselves to create this content. With that being said, we are letting go of our pride and asking for your help.

They say “it takes a village,” and we are now calling on that village to help us complete projects that not only can change lives but help educate, heal, change narratives and represent who we are beyond the L.G.B.T.Q.I.A.+ letters used to define us, or as same-gender-loving individuals. We are so much more!
