Valerie Galarza Cancer Treatment Fund

Hello, my name is Ashley Galarza. I am Valerie Galarza's daughter-in-law and have been apart of Valerie's family for almost 12 years. As anyone who has met Val would tell you she is an extremely giving, caring, generous, and a loving person. Valerie has been a well known and loved pet groomer in Henderson for over a decade and currently owns a small grooming business, Valerie's Paw Spa, in Henderson! Val is a loving mother to 3 children, amazing grandmother to her 5 grandchildren, she is a sister, daughter, niece, and friend to so many!

Valerie was diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic syndrome) in August of 2024. MDS is a blood cancer with a VERY high risk of becoming Leukemia. The only treatment option is a Bone Marrow Transplant. My husband, her youngest son, will be her donor. While her daughter travels across the country to be her caregiver while she stays in California. Valerie will be in California for at least 100 days (receiving treatment at USC). She will spend 3-4 weeks in the hospital followed by 60-70 days staying near the hospital for continuing treatment.
