Melissa's Medical Fund

Dear family and friends,
 
My Aunt Melissa has just been recently diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia. This news has been devastating to our family.  Darin and Melissa are parents to two young daughters whom they will be separated from during the coming months. Melissa works in the pediatric medical field where she devotes much of her time to helping others. When she is not working, she spends her time hiking, sight seeing, and participating in other outdoor activities with her husband and two girls. Melissa has been transported to Seattle, Washington where she will receive care from top specialists in the field. The costs associated with this disease will be substantial. The family is setting up this account in order to raise money to support these costly treatments and other associated expenses, such as food and lodging  for Darin and Melissa in Seattle, travel expenses for Darin and the Girls to visit their mother, lost wages for Melissa during her treatment and recovery period.
