US 24 Hour National Team
Donation protected
This is a fundraiser for the US 24-hour team set to compete in Taiwan for the 2023 World Championships in December. The entire USATF budget for the team of 12 athletes plus three managers is $15,000. By comparison, each *individual* track and field athlete that makes a World Championship or Olympic Games gets $25,000 to cover training, healthcare, and travel costs for the event. While running loops for a full day may not be as "sexy" as traditional track events, nor does it bring in the same revenue, these athletes are still the best in the world at their sport and they deserve to at least have their plane fare covered. That's even harder to do with the current price of travel. Both the US men and women are the reigning GOLD medalists and we want to make sure our country's best 24 hour runners can afford to go to Taiwan so we can defend our top podium spot!
