Hello everyone my name is Angel and I have two dogs, Pepper and Zora. We are a little family looking to relocate at the end of January 2026. We have approximately 2 weeks to raise much needed funds to support our move.

Over the past 2 years , me and my dogs have lived in a studio apartment that's become uninhabitable due to infestations and safety concerns like black mold . I care deeply about our safety and unfortunately these circumstances have made me feel unsafe. My mental and physical health has been compromised. I've lost a lot of sleep and have struggled with feelings of hopelessness over this situation.

At the end of 2025, we had to spend our Christmas eve out of our apartment due to a scheduled fumigation. Additionally, I spent Christmas day and New Years cleaning alongside a great friend of mine and getting my apartment together again. I also had to purchase an entirely new mattress due to it getting ruined during the fumigation. The fumigation didn't help get rid of the problem and this has had serious impacts on my mental health and at this point, my only solution is to find a place to live that is safer so that my dogs and I can start again.

A little about myself: I've been organizing in south central for a little over half a year bringing free pet food, supplies, and resources to support families with pets through a monthly distribution effort. Alongside a few amazing volunteers and generous community response, we have been able to help hundreds of pets. I am also a teacher and I take great pride in that. I appreciate and never take for granted the opportunities I get to give back to the people in my communities. My greatest role, however, is being the guardian of two amazing little dogs. My biggest hope for my little family is that we get to live as comfortably as possible so that we can continue making memories together without concerns for our health and safety.
