Urgent Care Needed for Shipmate's Recovery

Hi everyone, my name is Tram. I am trying to raise some money for my friend’s dog, Shipmate, who is battling a GI bleed and kidney disease. He was first hospitalized 3 days ago because he started to throw up and was looking very lethargic.

Now my friend, Brenda, got some more concerning news that they found fluids in his abdomen, which means he needs more hospitalization that she cannot afford. They also commented that he might need dialysis, which adds more stress and expenses. She has already exhausted all her efforts to keep him hospitalized for 3 nights now, and the bills keep adding up as he continues to show negative signs.

Shipmate is a very sweet boy and he deserves more time with Brenda, that is why I wanted to open this funding to try and see if that can help them out even just a little. He means everything to Brenda and this situation is very heartbreaking to see. Thank you so so much in advance to all who can donate to this cause <3.

Update as of 01/13/2025: Shipmate was discharged from the hospital this morning and is now home with Brenda and loved ones. His AM labs were still not great, so the goal now is to support his continue healing at home supervised. This will probably be his new normal as he will need some changes to his diet and lifestyle to be able to live out the rest of his days comfortably. Thank you all who have donated, shared, and kept Shipmate and Brenda in their thoughts and prayers.
