Urgent Assistance for Health and Vehicle Repair

Donation protected
My dear friends.
If you’ve been following my sad story on social media, you know I’m having a really tough time with health concerns since I developed 3rd stage kidney failure from lithium toxicity in January. Luckily my meds are being adjusted and I’m getting better ❤️‍ but I’m overwhelmed with bills that keep piling up. My illness has had a domino effect on my finances since I lost my Cigna insurance on January 1st for reasons beyond my control. To make matters worse,  I hadn’t yet shared publicly for personal reasons but on Wed April 24 I was in a bad car accident that totaled my Dodge Caravan and with lousy insurance coverage on the vehicle, I’m up shit creek without a paddle.

So ive been struggling since the car accident to repair a Nissan Juke that has been sitting dead in my garage for two years.  It’s a cursed fucked up lemon of a used car I bought  for $10,000  in San Diego (when I was fired from a show at the Old Globe for an inability to remember my lines.) This piece of crap, I  just finished paying off in April, has been at the Nissan dealer over the weekend and the news is not good. I just got word, it cannot be repaired for less than it’s worth, and it’s gonna cost over $13,000 to repair it today. God. So exhausting every single day to deal with this on my own. They’re offering me $500 for it towards the purchase of a car off their lot.

Still with me?

I’ve gotten a purchase order from the Las Cruces Nissan dealership  for a 2017  Rogue with 134,000 miles and intend to apply to the AFCU for a loan hoping to keep the monthly car payments low.

My friends, I know this sounds like a lot. Believe me, I kid you not, it really is. Living with bipolar disorder I have had many bottoms but this one? Well, this one is of bibilical proportions. As confounding as the trials of Job in the age of confusing patient portals, broke and needing a to buy a new car, being stuck with out of pocket rental car expenses for an unforeseen time, HMO copays for rehab hospital bills ($5000 and counting) and another symptom of badly managed psychiatric care: five years of unfiled tax returns since I moved to New Mexico. It’s all hit me at once and it’s a bloody nightmare.

This is not a scam. This is really me. 1986 Tony nominated former professional actor down on his luck but not down for the count. Hence this GoFundMe request because I need your help please. I’ve appealed to the Entertainment Comminity Fund (formerly the Actor’s Fund of America) but that’s gonna take some time. I see light at the end of what has been a very dark tunnel and with your support I think I can dig myself out of this deep hole I find myself in presently. Please donate what you can, my friends. My heartfelt thanks in advance. ❤️‍❤️
