Unexpected medical complications Natalie
This is Natalie. I am a relatively healthy 52 year old who had a routine hip replacement on June 15. On June 29 I went to the emergency department and was diagnosed with a fractured femur which meant that the original hardware had to be removed, my femur wired for stability, and new hardware placed back in the hip and femur. I was healing and feeling well enough to go back to work for 6 hours a day on August 9. I worked 3 days and went to my doctor for an incision check only to be told that I had to have an aspiration of the hip joint for possible infection. Sure enough my joint is infected thus I am back in the hospital on August 11 to have a partial revision, complete flush of the surgery site, and I am told I will not be able to work for 8 weeks.
I have no income and will not be able to pay my rent and utilities for September and October. I am asking for your generous and thoughtful support if you can help me.
thank you.
