Umuhle: A Short Film by Rialene Nel

Umuhle: "You are beautiful."

I have been enrolled as a student at the New York Film Academy since 2016 completing my BFA, now I have reached the final exiting stage of my
last semester – the production of my final thesis film. Part of successful production is to initiate a successful fundraising campaign to produce my film -  “Umuhle”. It will be filmed in Los Angeles, California on November 22nd , 2019. It will be screened at Warner Brothers Studios in February 2020, whereafter it will be submitted to film festivals worldwide.

"Umuhle" is about the impact of Apartheid South Africa, and how it affected the life of a little girl being separated from the nanny who
she loved and who raised her, and them reconnecting years later in a post-Apartheid world.

This Project is such a massive part of my heart. Thank you for helping me bring it to life!
