Help This Family
A very dear friend of ours, and of many others, tragically lost her life this past Saturday evening at her home in the backyard she adored. An old tree in her back yard fell on Monique as she struggled to get out of her hammock. She died instantly. This accident was truly unimaginable, as the world lost a very spiritual and lovely person who will leave an indelible void to those who loved her. Even more tragic is that she was a Stage 3 breast cancer survivor…. only to be cut short by this accident.
Monique was a lover of music, the mountains, anything outdoors, and her bike. She played, wrote music, and sang beautifully. She guided bike tours in downtown Denver and was a delightful host for many tourists. Her love of the Colorado outdoors was evident as she spent many hours making her back yard a magical paradise.
Monique’s true passion was her 3 boys, Slade (17), Deacon (15), and Luke (14). Her sons, her family, and all of us, are devastated and shocked by the loss of such a wonderful person. As her boys move forward in their lives, they will be carrying on the dreams that Monique had for each one of them. We are appreciative what each of you may be able to offer to the boys to help them realize their mother’s dreams and their own dreams, as well.
