Hi. It’s me. Many of you know what’s been going on, but a lot of you don’t. I’ve been out of town and off off work to care for my mom. She was just discharged this week after a month long hospital stay and is recovering from 2 breast cancer surgeries and a recent fall with resulting spinal fracture. Since my employment is heavily based on commission (enrollment at the martial arts school, and art commissions for my other source of work), when I am here caring for my mom it affects my ability to earn and care for myself. This week has been the second time in a month she has needed my help and she faces additional spinal surgery in the near future (but it looks like cancer is in the rear view mirror!!). I will need to come up to help her again. I’m asking for financial help from anyone who feels willing and able to chip in any amount they feel comfortable donating. Every bit helps and is greatly appreciated. To be able to stay on top of my living expenses and not carry that stress with me while I help care for my mom would be an enormous gift.
