Hey everyone, my name is Cherie Wagner.

I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my sweet friend’s cat, Salem.

Salem is a 3-year-old calico cat who has been diagnosed with a kidney stone. We first discovered the stone in June 2025, and since then, we’ve been trying everything to help her. Her vet recommended changing her diet to Hill's Science Diet Urinary Care and adding canned food to ensure she’s getting enough hydration, since cats are known to drink little water. Despite our best efforts over the past five months, the stone has not passed, and it’s causing Salem a lot of pain and discomfort.

Her vet has now told us that surgery is the only option to remove the kidney stone and relieve her pain. While we have searched for a solution, the costs for surgery have been overwhelming. The price ranges from $2,100 to $3,000 at most veterinary clinics, but after extensive research, we were able to find a clinic that will perform the surgery for $1,100 to $1,400, which is the most affordable option we’ve found.

Unfortunately, Salem has lost a significant amount of weight and is in constant pain. If we don’t get her this surgery soon, we fear we might lose her. I’m doing everything I can to cover the cost, but I need your help.
