Super Typhoon in Siargao, Philippines, help Hazel

I am Jerome, and I am doing a fundraiser for my friend Hazel who is living in Siargao, Philippines, and lost everthing after the passage of the super typhoon Rai.

Rai (called Odette in the Philippines) has hit hard the island of Siargao on Thursday, Dec 16th.

It did extensive damages, some people lost everything, and some died.

On December 23rd, I finally got some news from 2 friends who live there, Hazel and Alex. They lost the house they just built and everything else. Their 6-month old baby has been rescued back to Manilla.

They are both staying on the island, doing 1st aid, and helping the neighbours to survive. I can't describe their distress.

People do not have food, nor water over there. There is no power either, and the communications are pretty bad. Help is really slow to come, and hasn't reached the isolated parts of Siargao.

They have to go to another island to find an ATM that is in service, and try to buy essential products.

The money donated will directly and as soon as possible go to Hazel, Alex and their neighbours, to help them buy water, food and emergency supplies.
