Compassionate, hard-working, funny; those are a few words that come to mind when thinking of Tyler. He is a father, a friend, and a small business owner. Tyler is 35-years-old and for those of you who don’t know, Tyler is a fighter. He is strong, creative, and downright stubborn. At first, he comes across as quiet and reserved, but don’t let that fool you. Once he opens up there is no turning back. If Tyler isn’t in his shop welding, you’ll likely find him snowmobiling, exploring Idaho on his ATV, searching for old mines, or milling his own lumber for the cabin he’s currently building in Placerville, Idaho; where he hopes to one day retire.

On Saturday, October 27th Tyler was heading home from visiting a friend. They had spent the evening talking about how to best prepare a birthday present for a friend’s 59th celebration. At 11pm, he put on his gloves, jacket and helmet, and started the mile ride home. At 1:30am his girlfriend woke up and Tyler had not returned home. Her first assumption was that he had fallen asleep at his friend’s house. After a phone call to him with no answer she set out to go find him. She didn’t make it far from the house before finding him. Tyler had been in a major motorcycle accident just a few hundred yards from his home. She found him unconscious, covered in blood in the irrigation ditch. She called his 16-year-old son Riley to come help stabilize him while they both stayed on the phone with the 911 operator. Tyler suffered severe head injuries, internal organ damage and several broken bones. He is currently stabilized but in critical condition. In the following days to come, Tyler will continue undergoing tests and extensive monitoring. We don’t know how or when he will respond.

Tyler has a long road of recovery ahead of him, he will be out of work for an extended period of time. He needs our ongoing help covering his day-to-day living expenses as well as any additional costs incurred by his family. We are certain Tyler will recover, these funds will be used to help him keep the lights on at home and his business.

This page is not something we considered doing lightly. Tyler believes in being self-made and self-sufficient, but he also believes that everyone needs a little help now and then. Everyone involved greatly appreciates your help whether you decide to donate, share this page, or assist in any way you can.
