TTU Kappa Delta Shamrock Week

Did you know In one year, more than 65,000 cases of child abuse were confirmed in Texas? Kappa Delta’s annual Shamrock Week  is an event held to raise money for the Children’s Advocacy Center of the South Plains and the Prevent Child Abuse America campaign. 80% of the funds raised will stay in Lubbock, helping the Children’s Advocacy Center of the South Plains and 20% of the funds raised will go nationally to Prevent Child Abuse America. The Children’s Advocacy Center of the South Plains provides children a safe place where specialized forensic interviewers talk to children in a child-friendly, non-threatening environment to listen to their abuse/trauma story. At the Children’s Advocacy Center law enforcement, medical personnel, and child protective services collaborate on child abuse/trauma cases to best meet the needs of children. This year we will be holding our event on Feb. 26th-March 4.. This has grown to become a well-known event in the Lubbock community, and has received a great amount of publicity in the past. We need your help in supporting these two wonderful organizations!
