Trying to raise funds for mobility van.
Donación protegida
Hi my name is Bryan. I had moved in with my mom to help take care of my stepdad that was dying of cancer while going thru a divorce knowing I would have to take care of my mom after he passes away. After a couple of months he passed away. I had a motorcycle and I had already planned on selling it because it’s getting to dangerous to ride with all the texting and driving going on. Well couple months after he passed I was at home depressed about the divorce and everything so I just wanted to get out of the house and enjoy the sunshine. I called my wife I was divorcing and asked her if she wanted to go for a bike ride and get something to eat. She declined so I went on my own. Well I ended up having an accident and broke my spine. I had surgery to fuse and put hardware on my spine. Everything was going well for about 2 weeks and I kept telling them something was wrong so they finally ran test and I had to have emergency surgery again because I had spinal fluid leaking out. So basically that was it for me since they went in and dug around a ruined my chances of walking.
I have never been one to ask for help but at this point I need help and I have always helped others as much as possible. Now that I am paralyzed I am going to doctors frequently for checkups and pain clinic and heart doctor and wound care from a bed sore I had gotten in rehab.
The reason I am trying to raise funds is because my mom is 76 years old and taking me and she’s having to pick up my wheelchair and put it in the back of the car. She’s to old to be doing that and could hurt herself. I sold my car and didn’t get much for it since it was an older car. I have put that money in an account and have been trying to save up money from what disability I get. I’m hoping to get a van so it will be easier to go to the doctors and start going to rehab we have here in town called The Lakeshore Foundation.
If anyone could help I would really appreciate it even if it’s a dollar or two or even share this with friends or church or work.
God Bless and Thank You.
