#TrennonStrong Fund

On Saturday, June 18th, 2016, our dear family friend Trennon McNaughton (11 yrs) was seriously injured when a drunk driver veered onto the sidewalk where he was riding bikes with his family. The event, which occurred in Solana Beach, received local news coverage: http://www.cbs8.com/story/32254999/two-injured-in-suspected-dui-hit-and-run-in-solana-beach. Both Trennon and his uncle, Michael Fortuna, suffered numerous and life-threatening injuries. Trennon sustained major injuries to his leg; he is currently undergoing a series of complex surgeries at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego wherein a team of doctors will attempt to restore leg function. His uncle, Michael Fortuna, suffered traumatic brain injuries and remains in intensive care at Scripps La Jolla. (see the Michael Fortuna Family fund to support Michael). 

Trennon remains in care at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego, where he will have a long period of healing and rehabilitation. An avid basketball player, Trennon is already talking about the day he can get back on the court. There is absolutely no doubt that he possesses the determination to excel in his recovery.  

Trennon and his family (Patrick, Jodi, Trennon, Noah, Lyla, and Tate) are a loving, strong family who have helped so many others. They would never ask others for financial support, but they have agreed to this fund knowing that they have a very long road of intense rehabilitation to rebuild their lives. The money from this fund will be used to support the family during Trennon's long rehabilitation.
