Travel Expenses for Volunteering in Ukraine

Hi, I'm Nick Saputo and I'm fundraising to cover the travel expenses for volunteering in Ukraine with Paracrew, assisting in delivering food, medical supplies, and evacuating civilians caught in the path of the Russian advance.

This will be my second trip to Ukraine, having just returned from my initial trip after living and working in Ukraine as a freelance volunteer since March. Over the last 3 months I was fortunate enough to meet and work with some incredible people, both Ukrainians and foreign volunteers from just about every country imaginable. As international interest in the conflict evaporates, the number of volunteers is also declining and it is important now more than ever for those of us who are motivated to help to find a way to contribute manpower on the humanitarian aid front.

Unfortunately for foreign volunteers there is no real system in place to stay longer than 90 days, as this is the standard window of time for visa free visits to the country, so freelancers such as myself must exist the country for 90 days before returning again. (There are ways to get visa extensions and residence permits but the process is expensive and time consuming.)

The biggest hurdle for my next trip will be covering the cost of travel from the US to Poland, and other expenses along the way such as food, and so I'm asking for your help.
