Transplant Healing Fund

Danny, Heather and Trisha have called themselves "lifemates" and that seems so very appropriate (the page photo was taken a few weeks back when Heather and Trisha accompanied Danny to dialysis). Trisha is a damn amazing human being who donated her kidney to save Danny's life. A few other lives were saved in the process since they were part of the kidney "paired exchange program." (Google will tell you more about it if you're interested.)

The three of them moved into a townhome together last month. And they will be recovering together for the better part of July. The physical and emotional stress of transplant and recovery is a lot. And taking the much-needed time to heal without a job that generously offers benefits like paid medical leave is financially burdensome. So I thought it would be nice to cover their rent (the goal amount of this fundraiser) for the month and take some of that financial stress away!
