Transplant Complications & Apt Fire
Donation protected
The CVTC Nursing Club has a 3rd semester student who is battling some unimaginable obstacles. TC Yang is the youngest son in his Hmong family and therefore his culture's tradition is that he is responsible to be the caregiver for his parents. As if nursing school is not hard enough, he has been taking his mother to dialysis throughout going to school. He even got tested to donate her a kidney, however she did not accept it. He continued caring for her until on February 9th they received the phone call that they had a kidney available, it was a match!! He was so ecstatic, the surgery was a success. Sadly, her body has continued to struggle with her labs being all over the place. TC has managed running back and forth to Minneapolis for appointments almost daily while remaining in school. Today his family's apartment just went up into flames and they lost everything. They did not have renters insurance and they have no place to stay. Financially things were hard prior to the fire. Now the CVTC Nursing Club wants to ask you for help, whatever anyone is willing to donate would help immensely. Prayers would be greatly appreciated for TC, his mom, and their family.
