Tragic Waterfall Accident

I am pleased to introduce you to my Aunt, Candi Kardash age 61 Nana of 3 .. who is the loud happy Aunt that everyone wishes they had in their family. She kisses boo-boos and wipes tears, Loves everyone Family or not to the fullest. She will make you feel like a million dollars.. opinionated and full of life.

We planned a once-in-a-lifetime trip to see the Grand Canyon and other amazing sights to see with 35 of our loved ones.. Flying in from the East Coast.. We were so excited!

Fast forward to the day before the last day of the trip.. we were taking the kids on an amazing ATV Tour to a beautiful waterfall. The guides told us we could jump into the waterfall, full of life Aunt Candi jumped into the waterfall to show the kids she loves to have fun.

While I was recording video watching her jump in, I quickly realized there was a problem when a plume of sand came up the surface before she did, once she came up (which seemed like it was too long for her to be under)... She finally came up and my husband had to grab her from the center of the falls, and Aunt Candi just looked up at him and said "it's broke". He quickly noticed both of her legs were not moving and limp.

We pulled her to the side, propped her up and made her as comfortable as we could, she screamed when she laying there for over 90 minutes, while in the canyon.

Fire and rescue finally showed up and they put her on a stretcher, and put her on top of an off terrain vehicle. She was finally taken to the hospital...

Aunt Candi is the only financial provider in her house hold, this tragic accident is going to keep her from working for over 3-6 months, while she recovers.

She is currently in surgery at St. George Hosiptal, but will have other surgeries to repair other injuries going into the future.

Her injuries include:

Left knee shattered

Right ankle shattered

multiple breaks and bone shards in her legs

Our family, and the children are distraught that our beloved Aunt is in so much pain and her not being able to move and stuck in the bottom of a canyon for 90 minutes.

We are requesting funds to help with medical bills and for her to be able to recover without worries of paying her bills.
