Tragic Fire destroys home in Acushnet, MA

Hi, my name is Marty Laffan and I'm fundraising for my colleague and friend, Daniel Plante, who tragically lost his home and all his personal possessions in a home fire that broke out on Saturday, July 30th evening.

Dan and his two dogs were able to rush out of the home in time safely and without injuries. Dan looking back within minutes, the whole house was in flames. Acushnet Fire & EMS Department came out to the site immediately and was able to contain the fire but it is believed that nothing in the house is salvageable.

As many of you know, Dan has had a very challenging past year with his wife's medical conditions, and this tragic fire incident has added to his pain, he is very devastated and needs support to rebuild his life.

This request for funds is to help him with his immediate relief – a place to stay, food and clothes, supplies for dogs, etc. and to support him during this difficult time.
