Tragic & Unexpected loss for 5 yr old Ivan & Irina

My friend Valter who I call brother "Bratan", was a  loving father to Ivan and an amazing husband to my dear friend Irina. Due to unforeseen circumstances, he unexpectedly lost his life this past weekend.

The family was such a close niche. They only had each other as their extended family lives in a different country. Ivan was so close to his father. He was with his dad every time Irina worked the night shift. Valter read him stories nightly while they quickly facetime mommy during her break at work. 

Valter was a family man who worked extra hard as an independent contractor to provide for his family. With a recent accident at work just two months ago and fracturing his ribs, he still went to work despite the pain he was going through. During the first week of December, he had a home project to complete for work in Muskoka , ON and was expected to return home Saturday night on December 7, 2019.  Sadly he did not return.

Irina quickly asked Valter's coworker early Sunday  to check up on her husband at the job site as he did not answer or return any of her calls. To everyone's dismay, he was found unresponsive and cold. 

Without a single family in the country, Irina is left to pay and do everything on her own with a little boy who thinks his father will be coming home soon. With no savings, life or mortgage insurance in place, my friend Irina has the world on her shoulders.

I and other friends are hoping that Irina and Ivan can get the most help they can at the most difficult time in their lives. Our hearts are broken that Valter was taken too early leaving Irina and Ivan on their own. 

For the fortunate ones, we are able to celebrate the holidays with our family. So I am asking ever so kindly to lend a helping hand to our little boy Ivan and his mom.

Funds raised will cover funeral costs and any future expenses Irina and Ivan will go through. Our goal is not short term as their lives have been flipped upside down. Any help given will definitely go a long way.
