Toys for Sick Children - Christmas 2019

Donation protected
Hi all,

First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope this finds you well.

My name is Sammy Deeb, and I created my first fundraiser to raise money for sick children who have to spend Thanksgiving in a hospital in November of 2018. I created the fundraiser to honor my cousin Khaled Deeb who beat Leukemia twice and ultimately ended up passing away last September after we found out he was terminally ill. (08/12/1996-09/16/2018)

During my cousin's fight, I spent a lot of time with him in the hospital, whether he was going through chemo, radiation, or a simple check-up. There was never a guarantee that Khaled would be able to be home for events such as holidays and birthdays. Because I know for a fact there will be many other families struggling with the same issue, I have decided to host my first Christmas fundraiser with the help of my good friends from Pax8 Angus Wolfe & Ken Monroe, who helped me deliver the toys for the most recent Thanksgiving toy drive. Along with Ken and Angus's help, my co-worker Jessica Brejcha will be helping us with this fundraiser, as well. The Children's Hospital of Colorado mentioned and hinted to me several times that there are many more children in the hospital for Christmas than Thanksgiving, which is ultimately the reason we have decided to move forward with a Christmas fundraiser. Help us come together this year in putting smiles on children's faces who have to spend Christmas in a hospital. We will be donating the toys to the Children's Hospital of Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Children's Hospital on the 23'rd of December. Last year I raised $1,300 for my first Thanksgiving toy drive, and the Children's Hospital of Colorado told me it was the largest toy donation they ever received. I created my second fundraiser in November of 2019 with the help of my co-worker Jessica Brejcha for this year's Thanksgiving toy drive, and we raised just north of $1,000 and delivered the toys the day before Thanksgiving.

All support received is much appreciated by not only myself but the sick children who have to spend the holidays in the hospital, their families, and the hospital staff as well. A simple act of giving and or donating will be the reason a gift you give will put a smile on a child's face who has to spend Christmas in a hospital for medical reasons such as cancer, diseases, and other long-term illnesses. The true meaning of the Holiday is to be thankful for what we have and to show love to our community and those less fortunate.

This fundraiser is for anyone and everyone looking to put a smile on a kids face this year, not just Colorado locals!

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and please share this with your loved ones, friends, acquaintances, and co-workers.

Let's give these children a Merry Christmas.
