I have known the Herrera family for as long as I can remember. Tonie Herrera was a daughter, sister, and to many of us, a friend. Along with everyone else, I am in shock and disbelief at the loss of Tonie.

Tonie recently found out she was expecting her first baby. She was excited and happy to be a momma. Unfortunately, when she became sick with COVID, she chalked the nausea and body aches up to her pregnancy.

It wasn’t until she began having difficulty breathing that she realized it was something else. She was taken to the hospital, but the pneumonia had already set in and her lungs were not able to recover. She quickly deteriorated and passed away at St. Agnes hospital on November 20th, after a little over a week of hospitalization.
