We are a band from Minneapolis and are in the middle of a 6 week tour. Our van's transmission blew and the cost of repair is far more than we can possibly afford; astronomically comical applies, here. Having said that, we are currently stranded in Norfolk, VA!
We have three weeks of this tour left, as well as twenty five dates and counting booked for April!
Our plan after we returned from this tour in mid March was to purchase a well worn (ancient) but easily servicable RV and essentially permanently be on the road; permanently on tour. 1977 Ford Coachmen to the rescue! We have located the perfect candidate right here where we are staying with a good friend. As we all smell bad and dont like wearing out our welcome, we feel this is a serendipitous opportunity to strive for what everyone in our group has dreamed of doing with their lives. Living the rock & roll dream.
We are asking for donations to purchase an RV, so we can get back on the road with minimal show cancellations, and get an early start to the rest of our lives.
To further reinsure your investment into our dream, your contribution would go towards keeping 5 people, 1 service dog, and 2 cats working and on the road practically full time as fully functioning battlestar; we would be an actual home on the road.
With your generosity, we plan to get an RV, get it tuned up, the registration and title fees, and auto tools.
Any amount of contribution will go along way towards achieving multiple dreams, especially a dream that countless bands are never afforded the opportunity to even consider.
