This fundraiser will allow me to enroll in a wonderful business program for business owners and entrepreneurs called B-School , designed by Marie Forleo.  

My business is creating and up-cycling clothing  and items into custom designs for men, women and children.

The unique style of clothing of your loved one will be transformed and recreated into a new item that will suit your own unique style and fashion.  Whether your style is preppy, classic, hipster, or you love a little mix of it all - I have you covered.  Together we will sit down and dream up the perfect way to renew and recreate these precious treasures into custom designs that you will take pride in wearing.  I believe that by recreating these items, we are giving honor to those we love.

This idea came to me shortly after my husband passed away from brain cancer.  Following such a great loss, I found myself wholly comforted by wearing the clothing he left behind.      It wasn't enough for me to just throw on his sweater and leave the house.  I wanted to create fashionable wear that I could give new life to - create pieces I would wear both casually, professionally, and for special occasions.  My son is also comforted by items that remind him of his Daddy.  He constantly steals his watches and ties from my closet - I was amazed to see what inner comfort a physical item can bring someone in a time of longing.  By taking a step toward further in education, business research, sewing and pattern classes, as well as partnering with people throughout the community - I believe that this will be an endlessly successful job path for me.  I am beyond passionate about this.

I have a beautiful two year old son that is the light of my life, but between daycare and groceries I can't afford the tuition for this program. B-School is the perfect "next-step" for me because it gives me the opportunity to work full-time, but also gives me the skills to connect the dots while diving into entrepreneurship.

I am passionate about this business because I believe that people, whether they have lost a loved one or are simply missing someone, want a piece of what they love close by when it cannot always be there.
