Together with Villi to beat cancer

Hello, my name is Rosica and I am urgently raising funds for the treatment of my sister Velichka Marinkova abroad. Villi is a loving mother, sister and daughter. She is only 39 years old. Until last summer she was perfectly healthy. She was raising her son and living a normal, productive life.

In July 2023, her world came crashing down when she was diagnosed with cancer in both breasts during a routine check-up – this is an extremely rare phenomenon (10% of women get cancer in both breasts at the same time). At that moment, my whole world turned 360 degrees, as did Villi's and her son's.

Biopsies followed which delivered another blow - we were told the cancer in the right breast was triple negative - the most aggressive cancer and needed to be acted upon quickly.

Chemo and immunotherapy treatment was started at the City Clinic, which was followed by an emergency operation in December 2023 – a mastectomy of both breasts, as the treatment did not give the results expected by the doctors. A recovery period of about a month followed and she was given a new treatment with more chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

Before the 3rd post op chemistry - February 16, 2024, a scan was done which showed biliary liver spots. A new surgical intervention followed in Tokuda - this time on the lung and the results of the immunohistochemistry showed a metastatic carcinoma of the lung, undifferentiated. The metastatic carcinoma in question was confirmed to be from the triple negative cancer, which implies urgent measures and treatment cannot be delayed.

Taking into account the treatment carried out so far and the advice of the attending doctors from the beginning we were advised that the case could not be delayed and that a second and third opinion abroad should be sought.

We have contacted various hospitals in Turkey and the Kingdom of Great Britain, the funds required for emergency treatment are beyond Villi's means and capabilities, so I am asking for urgent help.

Within hours we have to collect the not small sum of 15,000 EUR to start the treatment, which is phased and the hospital cannot give a final price. It is about an amount not less than 80,000 euros, the equivalent in BGN is about 155,000 or 70,000 GBP.
