Dennis was suddenly diagnosed with late stage 4 Metastatic Cancer this July, and little did he or his loved ones know how much life was going to change in the coming months. He quickly began chemo treatment in early August and has received three rounds of chemo with no success. Dennis has been fighting so bravely and persevering despite the many complications from treatment, including trouble breathing, weight loss and loss of appetite, weakness, fatigue, and multiple stays in the hospital to help combat fluid build-up in his lungs. Despite aggressive treatment, the tumors have continued to grow and metastasize to different parts of his body. These were not the results we had prayed and hoped for Dennis, who has always upheld a deep faith in God and prided himself on being a devoted father, grandfather, and husband.

Devastatingly, to better help Dennis with pain and overall comfort, the family has decided that Dennis will go on Hospice care. While this was an extremely difficult decision, it was the best one for Dennis' quality of life. Jenny is currently not working so that she may care for Dennis at home.
